Bio

Loretta Miraglia, Esq. As a practicing mediator and attorney. I provide mediation services in the areas of commercial mediation and family mediation (divorce, separation, custody/visitation, support, elder). My law practice is focused on agreement drafting, negotiation and counseling. I bring a pragmatism to my practice drawn from the breadth of my experience.

I am a mediator on the following panels:

  • Commercial Division, Westchester County, NY State Supreme Court
  • Commercial Division, New York County, NY State Supreme Court
  • Matrimonial Division, Westchester County, NY State Supreme Court
  • American Arbitration Association Storm Sandy mediation panel
  • Westchester Mediation Center for cases in the NY State Unified Court System.

I completed basic and advance mediation training for commercial and family mediation. My initial mediation training was through the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and completed advanced commercial training in conjunction with the New York County Commercial Division requirements. I pursued specialized mediation training in divorce, including a year-long practical course, custody/visitation, elder and LGBTQ issues. I participate in the pro-bono mediation program with the Westchester Mediation Center of CLUSTER in small claims courts and for custody/visitation matters referred by the family courts in Westchester County.

With over twenty years’ experience as an attorney, I have focused on agreement negotiation and drafting, strategic planning and counseling, and intellectual property (patents, trademarks, trade secrets) as a registered patent attorney. I began my legal career at a boutique intellectual property law firm, and have held subsequent in-house counsel positions at both large, multinational and small start-up companies, including small pharmaceutical companies. Since 2007, I have maintained a solo law and mediation practice.
